One of the biggest ways going to college has changed my life is that I am now driving every day. The result is that I have begun to notice something from my frequent driving. You may have noticed this phenomenon as well, but when I drive a lot…I tend to see more cars than I would see had I not been driving. I think this is because of the fact that there are a lot of cars on roads.
Seeing more cars also has led me to seeing more license plates and bumper stickers. I decided to take pictures of the plates and stickers that amused me. I know some people are going to think I’m an evil judgmental person for this, but I was in the mood for some fun, and compiled some of them into this post.
Bumper stickers and License plates I've seen driving to and from University State:
This license plate gives me warm fuzzy feeling inside. Like you know that just maybe the world will be alright. However, there is something a little unsettling in this photo. As a friend of mine pointed out, they’re driving a Mercedes. This person needs to be a little more Earth-conscious. “Shoulda gone with the Prius.” But hey, no one is perfect.
6 Gkids! 6 of them! Those poor grandparents! They only have 6 grandkids. L I guess perhaps the words of Jim Gaffigan are true, “Big families are like waterbed stores. They used to be everywhere now they are just weird.” I don’t know, waterbeds might be intrinsically weird, but for pretty much all of history, large families were the norm. Now it’s considered a big deal if you can even get to 6 grandkids.
This sticker is awesome. At first glance I thought it said, “I love cats.” This led to internal groaning and I immediately thought of this person:
(I'm sure she's a lovely person, but I think we can all agree her obsession with cats is a bit extreme.)
(Disclaimer: It’s okay if you like cats. I do not support the consumption of people’s pets.)
But upon closer inspection, I realized that what the entire sticker actually said was, “I love cats. They taste like chicken.” This understanding totally made my day. Kudos to whomever was in that car and put that sticker up.
Look out! This one has NRA on their plate! They must demon murderers!
Take notice, ladies. “Women who behave rarely make history.” Not only is this quote 100% true, but it strikes right at the heart of life. You are NOTHING if you don’t make history. Don’t waste your life: do bad things.
This car had TWO interesting stickers! The quite superfluous “Coexist” sticker, and then the second sticker, which also explains what kind of person would put up the first.
Those are a few of the pictures I have at this point in time. What’s the craziest/funniest bumper sticker or license plate you have seen?
